Congratulations on your decision to have your child baptized in the Catholic Faith! We are eager to welcome your little one! Baptism classes are required for all parents and godparents. This class instructs parents and godparents on the meaning of Baptism, the responsibilities of raising the child in the practice of the Catholic faith, important practical advice for living the faith at home, as well as information on the actual Baptism ceremony. Please review our process narrative and if you have any questions, contact our Baptism Team Administrator. If you would like to reserve a place for the monthly baptism, please send a completed Baptism Intake Form to baptismteam@saintjohnencinitas.org

Adults who wish to become members of the Catholic Faith do so through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). This program serves to welcome, inform, love, catechize, and sacramentalize those adults drawn to the Catholic Faith and leads to full membership in our Church. The process takes a number of months to complete and includes attendance at Sunday Mass and a weekly OCIA meeting.
